Dye-sublimation (also called Direct-card printing) is used mainly for small runs of cards or badges. Photos, text, logos, etc. are printed directly on the surface of the plastic cards. This process of ‘dye-sublimation’ uses special ‘ink ribbon’ which is divided into different parts/colors.
