Retransfer printers

The XID Re-transfer card printers produce cards at an extremely good print quality. Ideal for personalizing cards that need to last, or for applications where offset quality printing is required. Cards can be printed completely edge-to-edge, so there is no white border. The printers can also be equipped with various modules and options. The XID retransfer technology does not print the image directly onto the card. The information is first printed on a re-transfert laminate/film, also based on ‘dye-sublimation’. This film is then laminated to the card. In this way, the card is better protected from scratches and dirt and also lasts longer. With this XID re-transfer printing technology, many types of plastic cards can be printed. In addition to printing on standard PVC, PC, PET and ABS materials can also be printed. The re-transfer printers can be equipped with many options.
