The DPR Scorpio series is a range of digital cutting plotters that automatically unroll, cut out, (optionally) laminate printed labels on roll, remove excess matrix, slit and rewind. So you have a complete finishing solution that allows you to produce labels in-house, printed all the way to the edge and without die-cutters or additional machinery.

Models in the series

• Scorpio 225 mm: suitable for media up to 225 mm wide, ideal for standard label production.
• Scorpio 225 mm + Lamination: identical to the basic model, but with additional lamination module for extra protection against moisture, scratches and sunlight.
• Scorpio 355 mm: designed for wider rolls up to 355 mm, ideal for larger labels or higher volumes.
• Scorpio 355 mm + Lamination: the most complete model in the range, with wide media handling as well as integrated lamination.

Scorpio Software & Camera System

The Scorpio software works closely with an integrated camera, which is part of the optical black-mark recording system.
Through the software, the operator imports the cutting file directly from Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW and adds a black mark in it.
The camera recognizes this mark on the printed label material, then the software synchronizes it perfectly with the digital cut file.
Thus, the system knows exactly where and when to start the cutting process, resulting in maximum precision and a fully automatic workflow.
