Catalyst V8e Laser Label Marking System
Produces the most durable custom labels and tags. The new Catalyst V8e Laser Marking System produces property tags, barcode/QR code labels, serial tags, warning labels, instruction panels, and many other industrial labels that need to withstand harsh environmental conditions for years.
The system combines printing on highly durable, pre-laminated labels with an integrated Digital Die-Cuttingā¢ system for producing labels in any desired shape or size. Because no additional filtration or vapor extraction equipment is required, this laser marking label printer reduces initial equipment and ongoing maintenance costs.
Back of the Catalyst Laser Printing System
Innovative imaging and cutting technology The Catalyst V8e uses a patented bundle of fiber-coupled laser diodes that create laser images on a laser film. This laser film (CLF), developed and produced by Schreiner, is a unique pre-laminated material that is highly resistant to environmental damage and degradation caused by chemicals, sand, and other abrasive elements.
During the phase-change process, which makes the image visible under the transparent protective laminate layer, the laser generates no smoke or fumes. Other laser marking systems use the laser to cut the shape and size of the label but create smoke and fumes in the process. The Catalyst V8e, on the other hand, uses an X/Y knife plotter to cut through the CLF material, resulting in zero smoke or fumes, with no need for filtration or noisy smoke extraction.
Easy to Use, Operate, and Maintain
The Catalyst V8e Laser Marking System is quick and easy to set up and operate with its self-installing driver and PrintHubā¢ for Windows. The label design and printing software BarTenderĀ® UltraLite is included; upgrade versions for additional features such as databases like SAPĀ®, OracleĀ®, and other ERP integrations are also available. Wired USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity are standard.
Maintenance is largely limited to keeping the interior of the machine clean from dust generated during the digital cutting process. Laser diodes and fiber couplers have a long lifespan and are replaceable if necessary.
