Etiketten op rol, op vel of een combinatie

At Tasco, we specialize in providing efficient and innovative label printing solutions for printing companies. Thanks to our many years of experience with label printers and label finishing, we can help traditional printing companies set up their own label production. In addition, we have the expertise to guide label printing companies through the transition to digital printing and the optimization of digital label finishing. Our machines enable you to increase your revenue in the growing packaging market.

Which printing technology is best for you?

There are various printing technologies available for producing labels. Major printing press manufacturers such as HP Indigo, Xeikon, Durst, and others use specialized technologies like electronic inks and UV inks. The print quality, versatility, and speed are excellent, but this often comes at the cost of a significant investment. Our inkjet and dry-toner label printers and presses are ideal for producing labels in small and medium volumes. This makes them a perfect solution for traditional print shops looking to start their own label production. In certain cases, they can also offer added value to existing print companies. We’re thinking primarily of personalization, printing variable data, printing with white ink, and more.

Which type of finish is best for you?

Most label printers can print on pre-cut labels, but to respond flexibly to your customers’ needs, it’s better to finish the labels yourself.

Digital label finishing machines

Laser die-cutting machines are very fast and flexible. They allow you to cut almost any shape and size without a die. However, these machines are very expensive, and certain materials cannot be processed. We usually opt for digital label finishers with cutting blade. In recent years, these machines have evolved further, making them more reliable, faster, and easier to operate. In addition, these machines offer many more features and new technologies. Thanks to fully automatic job changes, you can print different jobs on a single roll and then finish them without stoppages or errors. We have a range of machines tailored to your budget and needs.

Semi-rotary die-cutting machines

For large-scale production runs, label printers use rotary die-cutting machines. These machines operate very quickly, but setup times are often very long, making them less suitable for finishing digitally printed labels. For medium-sized runs, a semi-rotary die-cutting machine can also be a solution. With this machine, the magnetic cylinder remains in place at all times, and only the die is replaced, which significantly reduces setup times.

Inline or offline finishing

Advantages of Inline Finishing

Inline finishing offers various advantages for print production, such as time savings and lower costs, because finishing processes take place immediately after printing. This also reduces the risk of errors and accidents, which improves overall productivity.

Advantages of Offline Finishing

In some cases, inline finishing may be the best solution. However, there are many advantages to switching to offline finishing. Offline finishing is separate from the printer. This allows you to choose the best printer and technology for the job during the printing process and then select the best finishing machine afterward. This ensures you always have the greatest flexibility and the best results. Additionally, the speed of the slowest machine limits the overall production speed. Furthermore, printing technologies are evolving at an ever-faster pace, and more printers are entering the market. With offline finishing, you’re set for years to come. In many cases, therefore, offline label finishing is the best choice.

Labels on a roll, on a sheet, or a combination of both

Most label solutions operate on a roll-to-roll basis. But we also offer other solutions. On larger finishing machines, you can often add a “sheeter” as an option. This allows you to print from a roll, and after the label has been die-cut and stripped, it is cut individually or into sheets.

Sheet-fed label finishers, on the other hand, are an ideal investment for print shops and copy shops that want to produce small volumes of sticker sheets. Thanks to automatic job changes and QR codes, self-adhesive sheets—printed on a digital printer—are fed into the machine one by one and then die-cut to the correct shape or size. You can also use this for die-cutting boxes, tickets, and more.

For very specialized applications, we have a finishing machine that can die-cut labels and tags from rolls. The machine can cut right up to the liner, or it can cut all the way through while applying a back score on the reverse side. The result is stickers in any shape, emerging from the machine one by one.
